The Quasys JTF2 (former Laurier) is the automation solution for JEDEC Tray feeding. Load and unload stacks of up to 20 thick or 30 thin JEDEC standard trays without interrupting the assembly equipment.

Hardware Options

Mount Plate, interfaces the feeder to the host. A Generic plate is available. Ask anytime for the drawing.

Long Belt, eliminates jam on heavy trays. The beltsreach the very end of the rails so that the tray never leaves the conveyor at the pick position. Also, the Tray Pusher is almost twice as long in order to push the tray further out onto the conveyor. This is a also retrofitable option.

Reset Board / Disable Button Panel / Full control over the feeder by the host, A reset board can be put between the Interface PCB (Button Panel) and the controller board. Jumpers enable or disable the buttons. In addition, the tracks can be accessed so the host machine takes full control over the feeder. Even an emergency stop can be triggered by the host machine.

Door Looking, The door is kept locked during any operation of the feeder by using a cylinder which is hosted in the door. It’s unlocked when the elevator is at the bottom.

Full Low Level Tray Sensor, The host can read a logic signal when 20 - 25 trays are stacked on top. A preventive signal to tell the operator

Empty Low Level Tray Sensor, The host can read a logic signal when 3 – 5 trays are left in the feeder for preventive actions.

Light Curtain to protect hands when offloading trays, A light curtain detect hands between the ears to unload trays. The host can read this signal

Software Options

End of Lot Function / Empty the Feeder, The conveyor is cleared from trays and no more trays are fed. The elevator goes down to the bottom. Only available in advanced and serial communication mode.

Split Speed, an speed optimisation – application dependent – brings the tray fast to the pick place and slowly back to the stacker, or vice versa. For advanced mode.
